film // two seconds singapore

I filmed a lot on my trip to Singapore. When I came back I banged my head on the wall for about 10 days. I didn't know what to make of all the footage. There was no story line I could think of that wasn't sappy. No music that perfectly defined the essence of Singapore. And then I thought of this: no story line, no music, just a conglomerate of the footage. Two seconds worth of clips. Smooshed together. Introducting, "Two Seconds Singapore".

singapore - little india // november '11

Just got back from a 10 day trip to Singapore. Out of those 10 days, 5 were spent lugging my camera around. This is some of the shots I came up with. I figured I'd take this little trip to expand on my street photography, but it's rather tricky to do with prime lenses. When taking portrait I have more control moving back and forth. Not with street photography, moments end in an instant.

This is part one of the few photographs I took in Singapore. All in Little India. It's amazing how Little India is literally like a miniature India, it doesn't feel like Singapore.

autumn ends // october '11

It's actually not the end of autumn, it's the end of spring here in Australia.

film // carter's theory

Again, not photography related, but I have written and directed a film called "Carter's Theory". I'd be grateful if you'd watch it. It's the comical journey of Hannah's break-up and the explanation of Carter's theorised five stages of a breakup.

dolphin cruise // september '11

Didn't really get to see dolphins, just the fins amongst murky waters of six little ones. But got a lot of good picture of people.

peek-a-boo // august '11

Under a make-shift cubby house these two sisters, Claire and Laura, played peek-a-boo with my mother.

parisienne balloons // july 2011

Inspired by Siebe's Cookie Splash! set. This is my second attempt, the first one can be found [here].
This (adorable) mug was bought from Typo Australia.

This was a lot fun to do, though a pain to get right. I am extremely happy with the end result. I used two small potatoes, which I dropped into the mug simultaneously. And check out my Mum's adorable red capsicum in the background :)

sienna // june 2011

I finally saved money and instantly spent it on my new lens - a 85mm f/1.8. I figured that since I've been taking so many portraiture photographs that I should get a better portrait lens. I was a bit skeptical at first but I don't regret it at all. It's amazing!

This is a single shot of Sienna, with her killer blue eyes.
